- I have an older C64 (pcb says copyright 1982) that has weak video. When I
- plug my newer C64 into the same monitor, it works fine, but this one is
- really dim, and I have to turn the brightness up quite a bit to get a
- normal picture. So I assumed there was somthing wrong with it, but I got
- out another C64 with the same revision that I have laying around and it
- does the same thing.
-
- My question is, do these old C64's normally have weak video output? It
- was very noticable on my green screen, but not as much on a color monitor.
- Or is there some failure that is common with the older C64's?
-
- Already tried swapping power supplies, and checked internal power supply
- levels, all seem ok. Any ideas would be appreciated.
